We'd also like to thank the hugely talented artists whose paintings we choose and transform into interiors products.
Bay Gallery Home recently wrote a feature article about Aboriginal art for London based I-M Magazine (Intelligent Magazine for Inquisitive Minds). An excerpt is available online with the full article published in the new issue now available at all good outlets including Harvey Nichols, Holland Park News, Princess News and Wardour News. The article serves as an introduction to Aboriginal art giving the reader a brief history of Aboriginal art and a broad insight into the different styles and areas the art hails from.
Our wonderful My Country ceramic wall tiles have been reduced as a special Christmas gift to our clients. Please get in touch if you'd like to order at £20 off per tile over the Christmas period. Or you can order online at www.baygalleryhome.com.
Visual language is integral to the Australian Aboriginal culture. Here (as elsewhere) Art is more than the final product that moves us, art is defined by its creative process. Here, all of creation is in relationship, at one with the land, and the artists are in relationship with their community, sharing stories.
Whether painted on musical instruments or on canvas, the artists recount mapping myths, rituals and sacred topography – they are metaphors for life's journeys, full of symbolism and references to history, botany, topography and the traditional rural Aboriginal way of life.
Bay Gallery Home is proudly releasing the first limited range of ceramic Aboriginal wall tiles in conjunction with Material Lab and Johnson Tiles.
Trade and journalists are invited to Material Lab from 2pm on Wednesday 29 June to meet Alexandra O'Brien. At 6pm drinks and nibbles will be served.
A comprehensive Aboriginal interiors range has never been developed before, so having the tiles launched in such a prestigious London location is very exciting.
