Ada Pula Beasely, My Country, (22-EP320) 60cmx30cm
£550.00
Ada is the sister of well-known Ampilatwatja artist Michelle Pula Holmes. Whilst only painting since 2012, she has produced exquisite artworks about country and bush medicine. Ada's paintings capture those magical weeks in spring, when the desert becomes a blanket of wildflowers and everything is green and lush. The intricacies of Ada's artwork reveals her intimate knowledge of country; however like most artists from Ampilatwatja, Ada has decided not to depict the Dreaming stories themselves. Rather, she depicts the Country in which these Dreaming stories sit.
Ada is passionate about keeping culture strong and teaching younger artists about country and bush medicines.
